At World Animal Protection, we're on a mission to end the cruelty and suffering of animals–forever. Our board plays a crucial role in enhancing our strategy, ensuring financial sustainability, and advocating for animals nationwide.
For more than 70 years, World Animal Protection has been at the forefront of animal advocacy, creating lasting change for animals. It's an honor to serve on their board and help build a kinder world.
Responsibilities
- Advise on strategy implementation
- Monitor organizational impact
- Oversee the annual budget, audit, and other legal responsibilities
- Support ED evaluation and board member recruitment
- Serve on committees and special projects
- Represent World Animal Protection US to stakeholders and act as an ambassador
Expectations
- Ability to serve a three-year term, with eligibility for reappointment for up to two terms
- Actively participate in and attend quarterly board meetings, plus additional meetings as needed
- Uphold WAP's behaviors, values, and commitment to diversity equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging (DEIAB)
