Looking for LGBTQIA+ plant-based businesses to support this Pride Month and beyond? We’ve rounded up six of our favs.
1. Yeah Dawg
Hot dogs on the grill, anyone? Yeah Dawg creates some of the most mouthwatering vegan hot dogs on Earth. Sold at Whole Foods Market as well as at select outdoor veg festivals, Yeah Dawg hot dogs also make an appearance at Queer Kingston, which hosts queer meetups in Kingston, NY.
2. So Gay Rosé
So Gay Rosé offers something for everyone with both its 14% ABV and non-alcoholic rosé and chardonnay, and its drinks are even sugar- and gluten-free! The company also works with local partners in each city where its wine is sold to give back to LGBTQIA+ organizations in the area.
3. Seitan’s Helper
Being that World Animal Protection USA is headquartered in NYC, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention one of our favorite plant-based restaurants in the Big Apple. Seitan’s Helper is a queer-owned deli slicing up favorites like a bacon, egg, and cheese as well as new inventions like the “Crabby Daddy” chickpea crab salad.
4. Equator Coffees
One of the best ways to wake up in the morning is with a high-quality coffee from an eco-conscious brand like Equator Coffees. Both women- and queer-owned, Equator Coffees is B Corporation certified and was the first queer-owned business to win the National Small Business of the Year award by the Small Business Administration.
5. Good Cakes and Bakes
Satisfy your sweet tooth with Good Cakes and Bakes, a vegan and organic Michigan-based bakery that also ships nationwide! Good Cakes and Bakes’ irresistible sweet treats have been featured on The Food Network, the Today Show, and more.
6. City Saucery
Your next spaghetti night deserves a City Saucery sauce. Its small-batch, vegan vodka sauce is a solid choice, but we recommend keeping an eye out for their eclectic Strawberry Marinara packed with whole strawberries that the company whips up in honor of Pride Month!
