Supporters run for animals at the Hamptons Half

Two fantastic supporters ran on our behalf to raise money for animals around the world.

On October 1, we participated as an Official Charity partner at the 10th annual Hamptons Marathon and Half in New York.

The weather was chilly, rainy and humid, but that didn’t stop them from pounding the pavement for 13.1 miles to help suffering animals.

Our runners, Meredith Schriver and Nathan Semmel, raised an incredible 164% of their fundraising goal.

“I chose to run and raise money for World Animal Protection because this important organization understands that animals feel pain and are not a commodity to be exploited for financial gain,” said Nathan.

“When my legs began to hurt all I had to think about was the unimaginable suffering that billions of animals endure; it easily got me across the finish line.”

When we greeted them at the finish they were in high spirits and happy to have raced.

“Choosing to run with World Animal Protection was an easy decision,” said Meredith.

“How could we not support an organization that helps and improves the lives of so many animals around the world? The work that World Animal Protection does is so important and commendable, and we were proud to raise money and run on its behalf.”

We’d like to congratulate Meredith and Nathan; our incredible runners!
