Best Friends Animal Society has been instrumental in alleviating pressure on local shelters. Over the weekend, the organization transported 58 dogs and 26 cats to its Utah Sanctuary, creating space in Los Angeles facilities for animals in need. It has also provided essential supplies to evacuees with companion animals and is facilitating fosters, adoptions, and emergency care for animals in its care.

Expanding Our Support

Due to the remarkable support from donors, we have expanded our relief efforts to include the San Diego Humane Society and the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center. These organizations are providing critical care and support for animals impacted by the wildfires.

Addressing the Root Causes

Your generosity not only helps animals during this crisis but also fuels our ongoing campaign to end factory farming—a leading driver of climate change and animal suffering. Factory farming contributes significantly to extreme weather events like wildfires, and we remain committed to protecting wildlife by advocating for a more sustainable future.

Thank you for standing with us during this heartbreaking time. Animals are often forgotten in disasters, but your support ensures they receive the care and protection they deserve.
