World Animal Protection is Building a Global Moment to #EndWildlifeTrade

Blog

By

On August 26, we are asking you to share our petition calling for an end to the global wildlife trade, and to encourage your followers to join the #EndWildlifeTrade campaign.

The objective of a global moment is to drive thousands of new petition signatures through coordinated organic social activation on all relevant social media platforms on a particular day, and the days following that.

This is part of a larger campaign of directly influencing policy at the G20 level, and public participation will make a difference. We use public signatures to show the significance of the issue and the more people we have behind us the more weight our petition carries when we engage on policy.

This global moment will help drive conversation about the need to end the global wildlife trade more broadly and encourage petition sign-ups, using our hashtag #EndWildlifeTrade.

Here’s how you can help:

On August 26th, simply share the link to the G20 petition on your social media and encourage your followers to check it out. To make this easy we have provided free-to-use images and pre-written posts for you to share below (you’re welcome to write your own, of course—but we want to make it easy!).

On  August 26th we’re just asking two things:

Please share this link on your social media: worldanimalprotection.us/lions

Use the hashtag #EndWildlifeTrade

And of course, please sign the petition yourself.
