Our Earth Day campaign, Which World Will You Leave Them?, has been selected as a finalist for the Shorty Impact Awards!
As animal advocates, a crucial part of our work is educating others about the threats animals face today from human activities. This Earth Day 2024, World Animal Protection emphasized the often-overlooked victims of the climate crisis: animals.
With our partners at Finngate Pictures and Pyxis Digital, we set out to create a campaign that would make people pause to reflect on the state of our planet and the mounting dangers posed by climate change. We wanted to jolt people to the perils facing individual animals all over the world.
Animals, after all, are all at our mercy, and have no power to alter the course of the future we are creating for them. We endeavored to showcase snapshots of possible futures, and ask people to consider both their role in them and the very real power to change the future, asking: Which World Will You Leave Them?
World Animal Protection US, founded through disaster rescue work specifically for animals, has seen first-hand the impact the climate crisis has had on wildlife—often the forgotten victims of changing climate-fueled disasters such as the ever-worsening wildfires in Australia, Canada, California, and the Mediterranean, as well as the devastation from increasingly stronger and more frequent hurricanes, floods, and worsening drought. We wanted to make these issues the center of our social media on Earth Day.
As a finalist in the 9th Annual Shorty Impact Awards, we need YOUR help by voting for Which World Will You Leave Them? today! Voting closes on October 30, 2024, so check out the campaign and please vote today!
