Bud was euthanized on March 28, 2024, after languishing at Miami Seaquarium.
Bud, a sea lion, was held captive at Miami Seaquarium in Florida until his death in March 2024. He was one of the animals that the USDA stated it would confiscate in January 2024 after finding several animals in need of immediate veterinary care. Unfortunately, the USDA reversed course after claiming that the facility had come into compliance with the law.
Bud was euthanized on March 28, 2024, after languishing inside this dilapidated facility. The elderly animal had suffered from kidney issues for months. He was one of many animals who appeared to be suffering from medical conditions at Miami Seaquarium.
World Animal Protection urges everyone who loves sea lions and seals to avoid visiting amusement parks where these animals are kept captive and forced to perform for entertainment.
